Norman Douglas (Doug) White 75 passed away peacefully on Feb 11, 2018 at Queens Manor in Liverpool. Born in Western Head, Queens County, Doug was the son of the late Forest Gilmore & Margaret Francis (Tarr) White. Doug is survived by his son Edward (Ed) [Lisa] White of Sooke BC, his two grandsons Zak & Josh. Besides his parents Doug was predeceased by his sister Dorothy May and his son Dwayne Sean Douglas. Doug was a well-known business man in Queens Co. After dabbling in several different businesses, in 1972 Doug decided to go into Real Estate, initially with Rossignol Insurance. In 1983 Doug was one of the founding members of Inter Lake Realty Limited and was their Real Estate Broker for many years, retiring in June 2017. Doug was one of the original members of NSAR having 40 years plus in organized Real Estate. Doug was also well known with his business Knotty Pine Country Homes, building cottages in the Lakeland Retreat Area. Doug’s body has been donated to Dalhousie University Medical Research Facility. Memorial Service to be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
