Liverpool mosquito team places second in year-end tournament

LIVERPOOL - The Liverpool Privateers Mosquito (11U) team came second in its final baseball tournament of the season Sept. 9 and 10.
Just ahead of Liverpool, in first place, was Clark’s Harbour #1.

The Liverpool Baseball Club hosted the Shelburne County Minor Baseball Association (SCMBA) Mosquito Tournament in Liverpool. Six teams participated in the weekend-long event.

“All of our players were outstanding with each bringing their unique personalities and styles to the team,” said Terrena Parnell, team manager for the Liverpool mosquito team.

Parnell said the 11U team had a great season.
The team’s head coach is Daryl Hurshman and assistant coaches are Richard Oickle and Josh Horton.
