Preparing for Regionals (Schedule below)

On Feb. 16 the Liverpool Lady Warriors were at home against the Forest Heights Falcons for their final league game of the season.

At the end of the half the ladies were lucky to be up 36 to 35 as they struggled on defense. Late in the third quarter the Warriors started to pull away with better defense and finished the game with the second squads on the floor for both teams. The ladies won the game 82 to 57.

High scorers for Liverpool were Chelsea Whalen with 22 while Kelsey MacKenzie and Sarah Smith each had 18 and Lindsey Ingram netted 12.

On Feb. 21 the Liverpool Lady Warriors faced Northeast Kings Educational Centre and lost a back and fourth battle 66 to 63. High scorers for Liverpool were Chelsea Whalen with 33 and Kelsey MacKenzie with 20.

The next day the ladies faced the Central Kings Gators. The Warriors fell short by a score of 80 to 77. Kelsey MacKenzie had 35, Sarah Smith, 11 and Lindsey Ingram added 10.

This weekend the ladies will host a qualifying tournament of six teams in which three will advance to the provincials.
