The official opening of the South Queens Water Treatment Plant took place June 27, with many in attendance. Service Nova Scotia and Municipal Relations Minister, Jamie Muir, Region of Queens Mayor John Leefe and MP for South Shore – St. Margaret’s, Gerald Keddy with a group of children cut the ribbon.
