The South Shore Wild’s first game of the 2009-2010 Junior C season will be a home opener at 8:15 p.m. on Sat. Oct. 10 vs. Yarmouth at the Queens Memorial Arena.

This year, the team is adding 2 lines of Halifax and Lunenburg Co. players, along with ten returning players, which the team hopes will entice fans out to the games and make them more competitive.

South Shore will be on the road Sun. Oct. 11 in Chester for an 11:30 a.m. start. Commitment is a big issue with the team and a lot of players working shift work and going to school in the city. So far however, players from away have proven themselves to make practices and games.

The team has The Wild are also on the hunt for a Head Coach this year to join the coaching staff. Interested applicants can contact the team at www.southshorewild.com .

The team’s next practice will be Tues. Oct. 6 at 9:15p.m. in Liverpool.
