A Wild beginning for Junior C team

At present, he South Shore Wild Junior C team has 16 players, including two goalies, and is preparing to play in a Junior B Tournament at St. Margarets Bay Sept. 12-13.

Two games with the Chester Clippers from the Junior C league are scheduled.

There are new faces this year and although try-out turn-outs were few, some teams have not been skating yet. There will be practices Sunday, Sept. 20 from 7-8:30 p.m. at Queens Memorial Arena and Tuesday, Sept. 22 from 7-8:30 p.m. in Liverpool as well.

The weekend of Sept. 25 finds the Wild in Barrington for the annual pre-season tournament. The home opener will be in Liverpool on Saturday, Oct. 10 against the Yarmouth Mariners.

The Wild were scheduled for Oct. 9 in Shelburne; however, the ice will not be ready until the following Friday.
