In game one on March 5, they took Inverness convincingly by a 93-48 score before following it with another win against Pugwash on March 6 to reach the finals.
The first half of the championship game was close but North Colchester started to pull away from the home team as the game progressed.
The final score was 70-51.
The high scores for North Colchester were Dyson Forbes with 23 points and Devin Cameron with 19. The high point tallies for North Queens were Nathan Forrest and Brandon Forrest with 12 points each and Lucas Boyle with 10.
The Final Standings are as follows: 1. North Colchester Mustangs; 2. North Queens Spartans; 3. Pugwash Panthers; 4. Cape Breton Highlands; 5. Oxford Golden Bears; 6. Cabot High; 7. Sacred Heart Boys School Sharks; and 8. Inverness Academy.
The ever-talented basketball school won the provincial banner last year.
North Queens Spartans make provincial finals
The North Queens Rural High School Spartans placed second in the province at the Nova Scotia School Athletic Federation Division 4 Senior Boys Basketball Provincial Championships March 5-7 in Caledonia.
