“We had a great season, the kids certainly developed from start to finish, they grew as a team,” said coach Dan Comeau.
The tournament kicked off Feb. 29 at 10 a.m.
The Wildcats basketball team played against Bayview defeating them 71-41.
They won their second game against New Ross 59-58.
“This was a tough game,” said Comeau.
Their third and final game saw them defeat Hebbville 60-46.
The tournament was supposed to continue the following day, but bad weather forced them to cancel.
Comeau said they were unable to re-schedule the rest of the tournament, making the Wildcats the champions.
The player of the game for game one was Jacob Huskins followed by Cameron McLennan and Peter Ernest respectively for games two and three.
“For the season we played 16 games and we went with a record of 13 and three,” Comeau added.
Wildcats win final tournament
The South Queens Junior High School boys basketball team played three undefeated games in their season-end tournament although it was cut short due to bad weather.
