The LRHS Boys Basketball team is getting ready for the Warriors South Shore Invitational on Jan. 12-13.
Teams taking part include the Liverpool Warriors, Forest Heights Falcons, Islands High School, Lunenburg High School, Barrington Barons, North Queens Spartans, New Germany Rural High School Saints and the Central Kings Gators "B" team.
The eight-team tournament will start Friday morning with the Warriors first game. On Saturday, the consolation games and championship game will be held.
As well, a Sobey's 3-Point Competition will be held on Saturday.
During Tournament Weekend there will be a Canteen open to family and friends of the Tournament Participants.
Each team is guaranteed three games
Coach Mustapha Maynard says it will be a good test for the Warriors to see where they stand amongst other competiton and will be good preparation for playoffs.
Final details of the tournament sponsored by Harveys, Swiss Chalet, Sobeys, and Centum Mortgage Specialists are still being worked out.
