The announcement was made at Queens Place Emera Centre on Monday, Sept. 24 by Sobeys South Shore Wild Junior C team president Bruce Inglis.
"The Wild is excited to have the opportunity to share the richness of our community," said Inglis. "It will be our intent to make this a showcase event for our community."
The championship game brings in champion teams from Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and one from the Northern Territories. As host club, the South Shore Wild get in automatically, along with the champion team from Nova Scotia.
The Wild start their home season on Oct. 5 at Queens Place Emera Centre starting at 8:30 p.m. against the Shannon Park Huskies.
