The South Shore Wild have taken the first game of the series against the Barrington Ice Dogs. The Wild started off slow in the first period, letting Barrington get a two goal advantage by the end of the first period. In the second period the Wild scored their first two goals in rapid succession, while Barrington added one more.
Things weren't looking good for the Wild, down 5-2 in the middle of the third period. However Barrington took several penalties late in the period, giving the Wild a five on three advantage. The team wasted little time scoring four goals within three minutes, beating the Ice Dogs 6-5. The Wild play their next game in the best of five series in Barrington on Saturday, Feb. 11.
