Liverpool beat Clare with a score of 10-4.
The teams stayed close in the first period, with Clare scoring the first goal. Not long after, the Wild’s first goal came from Alex Garland, assisted by Justin Cleveland and Ethan Janes. The Lions got another goal, but the Wild made a come back when Justin Taylor brought the first period to a tie. Greg Perry and Jesse Jelfs made the assist.
Like in the first period, the Wild and Lions were close in the second, but the Wild came out ahead. Janes scored the final goal in the second, assisted by Theron Lane and Perry. This brought the score to 6-5.
Liverpool dominated the third period by scoring four more goals. Zack Wamboldt scored the last goal of the night, assisted by Janes and Perry.
The South Shore Wild also won their game on Nov. 29 against Oxford with a score of 8-1. On Friday Dec. 10 the team is teaming up with the Liverpool Regional High School’s Teens Against Drinking and Driving for their fundraiser, starting at 6:15 p.m. On Dec. 17 at 6:15 p.m. the Wild will be at their new home at Queens Place, doing a big fundraising drive for the Jump Start Program, which raise money to help kids get into sports.
