The Sobey’s South Shore Wild ended their season over the weekend, after a clean sweep against top ranked Chester Clippers. Chester had originally taken down the Wild in two away games on Feb. 11 and 12, and the game on Feb. 18 sealed the next round for the Clippers.

In Friday’s game, Chester took a 2-0 lead early in the first period, with another goal just before the start of period two. During the second period Chester brought out their big game with another four goals, and added another two in the final period.

With tension running higher as the game went on, trips to the penalty box began to rise. Wild players racked up two men in the box in the first period, four in the second, and five in the final period. Referees managed to keep any fights from breaking out.

The Wild were outshot 44-11.
