The show, says club Coach Heidi Clattenburg-Sparkes, will be about an hour, beginning at 5 p.m. An hour-long free family skate will follow the performances.
Star and competitive skaters will be performing solos – either their competitive programs or performing to Christmas music, says Clattenburg-Sparkes. There will also be four group performances, ranging from the CanSkate group right through to the senior skaters. Skaters have been preparing group numbers for a couple of months.
Last year’s holiday show was the Blades’ first time skating in the new rink.
The cost to attend the show is a donation, and money raised goes to the club to help keep rates as low as possible.
Clattenburg-Sparkes says she hopes many people come out to the show because it’s a fun event.
“The girls have worked very hard getting to where they are,” she adds.
In addition to skating performances, there will be a bake sale and tickets sold for a draw.

A group of Queens skaters will be heading to The Robert McCall Memorial open competition hosted by the Dartmouth Skating Club at the Dartmouth Sportsplex Feb. 1 to 3.
A couple of weeks later, most of the club’s star and competitive skaters are going to a competition at the Apple Dome Arena in Berwick.
