Owner Robert Risley, second from the right, talks with the contractors about the progress of the lodge rebuild at White Point Beach Resort.
The new pool area will have a sloped ramp for full accessibility, as well as family changing rooms to go with the traditional male and female change rooms.
The columns supporting the deck as well as the surrounding foundation will be lined with beach stone straight from their own beach.
The view of the ocean, always an important part of the resort's appeal, will be a major part of the finished lodge. The dining room, conference centre and pub were all carefully designed to take in the best views of the waterfront.
