A Liverpool Regional High School teacher pled guilty to sexual exploitation of a student on May 4.
Derrick Joseph Redden, 41, appeared in Liverpool court to enter his plea, to a charge laid by Queens RCMP on March 5.
Redden will undergo a psychosexual examination in Halifax on May 25, before returning to Liverpool for sentencing on June 29, said his lawyer Joel Pink.
According to Canada’s Criminal Code, the charge of sexual exploitation is an offence that involves someone who is a position of trust with a victim who is older than 14 but younger than 18 years old.
