Police and firefighters forced to respond to False 911 call

Queens RCMP are investigating a False 911 call from a pay phone at 290 Main St., Liverpool on Nov. 12.

The caller stated there was a fire at a house on Main St. Liverpool Fire Department responded as well as the RCMP. After neighbourhood checks were conducted it was determined this was a prank call.

Queens RCMP would like to caution people from making these calls, as it is a Criminal Offence.

Anyone having any information regarding this incident please contact the Queens RCMP Detachment at 902-354-5721 or you can remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
