Ives must also submit a DNA sample to the National Registry, his name will be added to the National Sex Offender Registry and he is prohibited from owning firearms for 10 years.

The charges stem from a June 2 search of an apartment at 98 Union St. on a warrant for drugs. Quantifies of cannabis marijuana, scales, drug paraphernalia, and cash were found. Therefore, Ives was charged with trafficking and possession under the Criminal Code of Canada.

The trafficking charges included the prescription drugs, Dilaudid and Valium.

While executing the search warrant, police found evidence related to the other charges and obtained a second search warrant.

The pornographic evidence included videotapes and photographs and a 16-year-old female was found at the apartment. She was taken to a safe house but now lives in southern Queens County, according to the Queens RCMP.

Ives pleaded guilty to sexual exploitation and manufacturing child pornography.

Ives has been in custody since July 24, after breaching his recognizance three times.
