The park was part of the land purchased by the province from Resolute Forest Products, which was announced Monday night.
The park covers about 57 acres in Milton.
As a gift to the Region, Resolute donated $250,000 to help with the operations of the park over the next 10 years.
"I am so delighted that Pine Grove will belong to the residents of Queens. I helped develop Pine Grove with Capt. Richard Steele when I worked with Bowater, so it has a special place in my heart," said Mayor Christopher Clarke.
A plaque recognizing Steele will be placed in the park at a later date.
