RCMP executed a search warrant in the evening hours at the home, and found 168 marihuana plants and 23 grams of marihuana.

A 58-year-old male and a 58-year-old female, both of Brooklyn are facing charges of cultivation and possession of marijuana under the controlled drugs and substances act. Both individuals were released and are scheduled to appear in Liverpool Provincial Court on June 12.

"We are pleased with the marihuana seizure that occurred earlier this week in Brooklyn," says Staff Sgt. Jeff Wells, Liverpool RCMP. "We see marihuana grow operations (MGOs) in all types of communities, in all types of dwellings. It's important to remember that MGOs can harm communities due to risks of fire, explosion or increased criminal activity."
