The show is happening Saturday, September 12 at The Astor Theatre with guests TBA. Tickets are now on sale for $10 at the Astor Theatre Box Office (59 Gorham Street, Liverpool), online at www.astortheatre.ns.ca or by phone at 902-354-5250. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. with the show starting at 8 p.m.

The Novaks are Mick Davis (vocals, guitar), Mark Neary (vocals, bass) and Elliot Dicks (drums).

Sonic Records released the band’s eponymous first album in Canada in 2005. Featuring the singles “Goodbye Rock and Roll Band” and “I’ll Give You a Ring,” the band won the 2006 ECMA Rising Star of the Year. The song "No One Quite Like You" was featured as "The Coolest Song in The World" on Little Steven's Underground Garage. Little Steven ( Steven VanZandt of Bruce Springsteen and Soprano’s fame to name a few) released their debut album in the US on his Wicked Cool Records label in 2006.

The much-anticipated follow up, “Things Fall Apart” was recorded in just over a week ‘live off the floor’ at The Sonic Temple in Halifax, NS. The album features Ian McLagan of The Faces on keyboards. The first single “There Goes The Night” was recently serviced to radio and a video shot by Ante Kovac (Arkells, Joel Plaskett, Tragically Hip) has been added at MuchMoreMusic.
