The Christmas spirit is alive and well in North Queens this season. Dec. 11 marks the return of their Santa Claus parade, now in it’s second year of operation.

Topics :
Junior Fire Department , Queens County Food Bank , Caledonia

The parade starts at 1:30 p.m. at the Fair Grounds, and follows the main road to the Caledonia Legion. So far, they have 24 entries for the parade. After the parade, children and the young at heart are invited into the Legion to warm up and enjoy some family fun with the children’s Christmas party.

This year, the local Junior Fire Department will be doing a food drive for the Queens County Food Bank. During the parade, members of the junior’s will be collecting the items from anyone who can bring something along.

The committee also sends out a big thanks to all those who helped organize the event.
