Road Kill Romp returning to North Queens.

The rain wasn’t enough to keep bikers and enthusiasts out of Caledonia last year for the “Roadkill Romp.” The event is returning again this year on July 17 at the Queens County Fair Grounds.

Following a successful event last year, the Road Kill Romp Motorcycle Rally is returning to the Queens County Fair Grounds on July 17.

The one-day event started last year as a way to not only attract visitors to the area, but to fundraise for the Queens County Fair. As with last year, organizers hope to attract a variety of motorcyclists, motorcycle enthusiasts and others to the area for a day full of family oriented fun and entertainment

“We wanted to make it as much a family thing as we could,” said Queens County Fair President, David Freeman. “Everybody can get out and watch the games and have fun for the day.”

The day will start at 11 a.m with a variety of events happening in both the fair’s main arena and outside in the riding ring, if the weather permits. The events will include motorcycle games, a burn out competition, lawn tracker games, mini motocross competitions and a show and shine. Mark Cameron will follow it with a concert at 8 p.m. on the fair grounds.

There will also be canteen and camping facilities available, with breakfast being served the next day anytime after 8 a.m.

The admission is $2 for the motorcycle rally and $10 for the Mark Cameron concert. There will also be bracelets sold as admission to both events for $10.
