Almost a year ago the main lodge was lost to fire, just after it was announced they would be the host lodge for the festival. Right away owner Robert Risley committed to rebuilding the lodge, and ensuring the festival could go as planned in a year's time.
While whole building won't be finished by festival time, the parts that count for the festival will. The restaurant and lounge will be up and running, and the conference spaces will be set up for their scheduled performances.
All of the cottages were renovated while the resort was shut down as well, and are completely booked for the festival.
Donna Hatt, marketing director for White Point Beach Resort, says everyone is working hard to ensure it will be ready and welcoming to the guests. The furniture was moved in last week, and the fireplaces have been tested and will be nice and toasty for the weekend.
"Everything the guests of Music Week will need will be ready," she says.
