Walkers and runners came from across the Province to compete in this very successful fundraiser in support of North Queens athletic extracurricular programs. The athletic committee organizers were pleased with the number of participants, in this the fourth year of the event. Participants ranged from the serious runners looking for a warm-up event for the busy Run Nova Scotia Road Race season to the casual walkers happy to participate for their health and in support of a good cause.
A lunch and award ceremony followed, in which medals and numerous door prizes were presented, creating an enjoyable conclusion to the event. To the students, staff, parents, and community members who competed, congratulations and thank you for your support.

On Sunday, April 5, 105 runners and walkers enjoyed a cool spring afternoon participating in the fourth annual Spartans 5K Run/Walk sponsored by North Queens Rural High, Caledonia.
