Over 60 people attended a sing along that was held at the Zion United Church in Liverpool on Jan. 21 to help would be actors and actresses get ready for their auditions.

The sing along was particularly well attended by young girls trying for the part of Young Cosette.  However, the sing along saw people from all age groups and some new and familiar faces.

Directors Richard Comeau and Susan Lane were there, as well as musical director Kristopher Snarby.  Snarby led the group through several of the play’s songs to get singers used to hearing them with piano accompaniment as opposed to orchestral accompaniment.

Although the play is not scheduled to take place until November, auditions are being held within the next two weeks.  The cast will be announced by March 1st.  Les Miserables is a large production and will require a cast of over 40 people, an enormous set and a lot of rehearsal time.

Auditions are taking place at the Astor  Theatre on:

 Feb. 2, 11 a.m.-4 p.m.

Feb. 3, 12-2 p.m.

Feb. 4, 7-9:30 p.m.
