First prize is a one-night stay at Queens Place Deluxe Cottages with a three-course meal for two served to the winners in their cottage.
The second prize is a $100 gift card from MacPherson’s Ultramar. The third place winner will receive a $25 gift certificate from Liverpool Pizzeria and two movie tickets from Astor Theatre. Tickets are $10 each and winners will be announced on February 10th.
VON Board Member Isabel Inness says that funds raised through the raffle will be directed toward VON programs offered in Queens County that allow seniors to remain healthy and independent in their own homes. These include the transportation program, Meals On Wheels, exercise classes and more.
“These programs were initiated in response to a need for these services in the community, and improve the quality of life for those who take part,” she said.
