Discovercaledonia.ca is a project of the North Queens Board of Trade. Its goal is threefold: to provide information for prospective visitors; to showcase our community as a great place to live and work; and to serve as a resource for local residents with up-to-date information on events, facilities and services.
This website is the result of hard work by a committee consisting of Richard Lane, Suzanne Frail, Mike McNeil, Jean Douglas, John Budgell, Mary Keirstead, and Don Kimball. Assistance has been provided through a grant from the Nova Scotia Department of Tourism, Culture and Heritage.
It should be noted the website’s name is for the central village of North Queens, basically because that is the name that appears on the map of Nova Scotia for this area and the name that site visitors would most likely “Google.”
The website went “live” on Feb. 23, but is still a work in progress. Anyone wishing to submit an event for the website calendar can contact Mary Keirstead at 682-3216 or Richard Lane at 682-2021. The e-mail address is support@discovercaledonia.ca. Stay tuned for information on business listings on the site.
