In 2002, when my wife and I decided to leave Halifax to move back to the South Shore, we were looking for a small town to raise our family. We have been fortunate to make many new friends and become part of our community. Now our daughter is nine years old and our son is four, and we couldn't be happier about our decision to make Queens County our home.
While I feel there is still much to be done on council, I have made the decision to not run again in this election. During my term, I have had the privilege of learning new things and meeting many interesting people. I have had positive experiences, along with several frustrating moments.
What's next? I have decided to seek the nomination to be the Liberal MLA candidate for Queens in the next provincial election. If I am given the opportunity to represent the Queens riding, I will give my full effort and nothing less.
Once again, thank you all very much for your support.
