Three summers after Must Sea Treasures opened its doors on July 9, 2009, the business is set to close this Friday, Oct. 14.
Roy says she’s always wanted to be around people, and that’s why she studied travel and tourism and eventually opened her seaside gift shop. But she says lately things have been slowing down.
“This year has been completely dead,” says Roy.
Originally from Springhill, Roy says running the small shop has been a pleasure and has allowed her to meet more locals.
“I’ve had people say to me, ‘You know where I live. Come visit,’” she says.
She says she’ll be sad to see it go, but she plans to continue to do some consignment.
Her husband Kevin runs Crown Advertising Specialties Ltd., which Roy says is staying open.
