Kevin, who was nominated by Bruce Inglis, participates in the parade every year and volunteers wherever he can lend a helping hand throughout the many events. He is actually a fixture at all of the county’s many festivals and events. Examples include the Hank Snow Society, Queens County Sea Fest, Hospital Hustle, and Queens County Fair.

When there are tickets to be sold or pledges to be made, Kevin never fails to help. Thanks to Kevin’s many donors, he collects well over $2,000 each year for several charities, including Special Olympics, Big Brothers Big Sisters, V.O.N., Terry Fox Run, and the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

As stated on Face Book by a lifetime friend and neighbour, Kyle Millar: ”Kevin is probably the most well known (and well liked) person in Queens County. His determination, motivation, and enthusiasm for every thing he does, sets a great example for so many of us.” Congratulations Kevin for your continued support and contributions to our community.

Kevin, for his part, says he is “very proud” and honoured to be chosen. He also thanks Inglis for the nomination and “my many friends and family who voted for me.”
